These are scaly, red, pre-cancerous growths that arise in areas of sun exposure. They can develop into squamous cell skin cancer over time. Some may transform quickly. Treatment is very individualized to include cryosurgery or treatment of body areas with a variety of prescription topical therapies or photodynamic “blue light” therapy.
